I met him a little bit after he fought Kevin Kelley. He was an okay guy. He was so small and cute, now he's all fat and unattractive. I shook his hand and I was like, "What's up, Naseem." I said Naseem hard and he didn't like that, but he was like, "I'm good, but don't call me Naseem, call me Prince." I was like, "I call you what I want to call you and if you got a problem with it...shoot me one." I beat the **** out of that boy. He caught me with a good one, but I picked him up and slammed him on his ****. -

Yeah. That's what everyone says.Originally posted by Mass PrideInteresting story
I was younger back then and if I met him now, I would apologize.
I was an out of control teenager that beat the **** out him, but I've grown up. I don't like beating people up and causing trouble for no reason no more.
I doubt I'll ever get a chance to see him again to apologize, because I told him don't ever show his face around *my ***** no more.

Yes, I've met Naz. He was a little prick. Him and Frank Bruno visited our gym, in 1995. I was hitting the bag, Naz came up to me and looked at my face while I was hitting the bag and when I glanced at him he was smiling, everybody stopped and looked, my face was as red as a beetroot, he said "your jab's ****" and walked off shaking his head.Last edited by JuicyJuice; 06-15-2006, 01:25 PM.Comment

But that's Naz - an extremely shy person who needed to be so 'over-the-top' to get by. His outrageous charactor is NOT genuine, it is an act, deep down Naseem was actually a naturally very shy person.
I have interviews with Naseem when he was 18/19 and let me tell you, behind the mask the kid was clearly an intelligent, deep-thinking, intellectual and sensible kid at heart. He also had a big heart, and probably didn't want to humiliate people both in and out the ring like he did all the time, but couldn't help it - he needed to be like that because he was secretly so shy.
When he first started boxing, he wouldn't say boo to a goose. He wouldn't even speak to anybody, he'd hide! Boxing gave him confidence, I guess.Last edited by JuicyJuice; 06-15-2006, 01:26 PM.Comment

He respected how much of a hardworker you were, but he was keeping it real...your jab wasn't your best punch. Owned by Hamed.Originally posted by JuicyJuiceYes, I've met Naz. He was a little prick.
