It's a common problem but this isn't a common person and the timing of this makes it all that much more su****ious. He's always had his camps in Mexico, we've seen him out in public eating and suddenly he needs to redeem himself to his audience and he gets popped for a banned substance. Dude I believe shhh happens but typically you look at the body of facts and you make up your mind. There is nothig in this situation that screams "shhh happens" cuz. Especially as you said this being a common problem and him having the kind of resources he has.

I think you're right to have doubts.

Honestly ,the reason why I am keeping an open mind, is because he always struck me as a consummate professional (like say Floyd or Gallito Estrada). Shhit happens may have happened here. That's just me.

His image, however, is tainted for a while regardless, facts aside, or accidents aside.

fair that it is his call. But I genuinely believe that with Abel Sanchez knowing what's up and given that we're not dealing with say nandrolene, he's not really at risk of facing a "bulked up" fighter. At worst Canelo gets extra testing (as he will) and we're good.

I confess I woudl be disappointed if either one canceled on this stuff. But clearly they know better than me on this. Something like not making weight is more serious to me.

But weight cutting drugs allow you to bulk up then cut down drastically to a much lower weight than naturally possible. You can skip down a weight division if all done correctly.

Just bulking on its own isn’t an issue unless you’re a heavyweight as it would push you out of your opponents weight division.

Cutting means you can set your muscle mass comfortably at a higher weight than what you try to stay under.
