Comments Thread For: Wilder: Glad I Went Through 7th Round; Showed I Can Take Punch

NEW YORK The shaky sequence almost cost Deontay Wilder his unblemished record, the WBC heavyweight title and a shot at an eight-figure payday against Anthony Joshua. Wilder still is pleased that he went through the most troublesome moments of his nine-year career in the seventh round of his eventual 10th-round knockout of Luis Ortiz on Saturday night at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Noticed he got a lot of time to recover from the ref while coming out for next round , why didnt the doctor inspect him while he was in his corner

Wilder and ortiz gave a great show. I was jumping out of my seat. Big exchanges, back and forth, both guys hurt, and a great ko.

Showing you can take a punch would not be getting hurt by a punch. Wilder showed the opposite.

If Ortiz had 10 more secs or the ref stopped it would anyone be saying he could take a punch?

Wilder showed a lot of heart, just like AJ did, but Wilder didn't get dropped! SALUTE! Now get back to work, and EAT! 215lbs. was way too small!

Naw pussie!! He knocked him out with a right hand. They both fought hard and great. Being the pussie f@ggot you are you would try and discredit the win.

I got a tissue for you though pussie and a tampon as well sounds like that time of the month again for you
