Are you serious? Great defense? He was caught so many times and was about to get flattened. Not hating on the guy, but how can you praise his defense? You should be praising his chin. After all the naysayers saying he has a weak chin he showed he had a TREMENDOUS chin and AWESOME heart! I doubt AJ would have stayed upright under that barrage.

His defense was poor, no doubt. Hopefully this fight was a huge learning experience for him and he can work on some of those weak areas. He has to be better prepared for fighters like Joshua and Povetkin; as they will go all out for the kill if they hurt him like Ortiz did.
