WILDER vs JOSHUA breakdown, analysis, outcome.

First off i'd like to preface i'm a fan of Boxing though i have a slight favoritism for Anthony Joshua and his clean cut image. He comes across as a good fellow, not braggadocios in his demeanor.

Second point. How does one solve for something that is a common occurrence? The answer, you avoid it, because you can't.

I can't equate ANYTHING to watching Wilder "box". It's f.u.c.k.i.n.g horrendous. Flailing, winding up windmill shots, show boating. And his "BAAAAAAOOOOOOOMMMMMMM SQQUUUAAAAADDDD"... it's f.u.c.k.i.n.g annoying to say the least!

    BUT

Boxing/fighting has nothing to do with that.

He's What we know of Wilder. Though limited in his skill set, his right hand is one of the best...EVER. It's ERA proof, meaning any ERA, any opponent, if that lands, not even flush mind you, YOUR F.U.C.K.E.D. End of story. His right carries power late into matches, and when he gets it off, it doesn't even have to land flush. That's INSANE. I want to know if his gloves are loaded tbh, but i'm not trying to bring about any controversy. His right cross is ludicrous.

As for what we know from Joshua, In every match he's "stepped" up, he's been wobbled. Joshua vs Whyte, Joshua vs Klitchko, in both matches were the competition was steeper, he's won, buuut he's been hurt pretty bad and has either gone down or weathered the storm. Imo his 2 greatest faults are his footwork, and his head movement. Those both relate to him being hit clean on the button more than once. Also if he puts on weight to add punch resistance, He loses Stamina and mobility. He drops too much so goes his punch resistance.

Here is why it's a problem.

Though laughable at first thought, Wilder's accusations of Joshua trying to avoid the fight... now have a little more of a foundation to them. Anyone who knows boxing, knows that it's easier to set up a right cross against an Orthodox opponent, due to being able to use the jab and distract your opponent instead of a Southpaw fighter. (Because both dominant hands are fencing, which makes their power hands much more easy to avoid considering they have to travel unveiled to the target.) Obviously there are some factors at play timing, spacing, strategy but it's the easier rout of the two.

I Think Wilder vs anyone of the top HW belt holders/contenders are getting starched if Wilder is determined and focused on Landing that right hand. He has a decent Chin also, as displayed in the Ortiz match. Other factors is are, he's always on weight, he possesses the length and range as well as and carries his power late into fights. Not to mention he's still close to his prime.

His style is horrific technically but every person who's dealt with that common occurrence right hand... knows that power, is very legit.

    What say you?

Wilder wont see the 5th round !

He will be counted out on his back or the ref will wave it off as Wilder hits the canvas not able to coherently have his senses!

OP makes some relevant comments re Wilder and that right hand.

I like Wilder's confidence and the fact that he is actively pursuing Joshua.

I don't like Joshua's plastic, carefully cultivated, PR image.

However I think he'll be a big favourite to beat Wilder, and the longer Hearns/Joshua can avoid that fight the better his chances; that's exactly why they're trying to look everywhere else except Wilder next!
