Comments Thread For: Wilder: Me Beating Ortiz Better Than Joshua Stopping Klitschko

NEW YORK Deontay Wilder feels the biggest win of his career now trumps Anthony Joshua's most impressive victory. The unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion explained during a post-fight press conference early Sunday morning why coming back to knock out Luis Ortiz late Saturday night is a more remarkable achievement than Joshua getting off the canvas to beat Wladimir Klitschko by 11th-round technical knockout 10 months ago. Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) survived severe trouble late in the seventh round to floor Ortiz twice in the 10th round and stopped his previously unbeaten opponent at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

I must say that Wilder has a strong point here.

Eh, I don't know if that's a better win or not. Klitschko ruled the division for more than a decade. Wilder's stock has gone up I think but I still rate Klitschko as a better win than Ortiz.

Without a doubt. Ortiz would KO Joshua, with ease. Ortiz is the best HW after Wilder.

And this is part of the reason no one can take this clown seriously and ge him any sort of credit.

So beating Ortiz, who never picked up a major amateur medal and who's never won a world title is better than a win over an Olympic gold medalist and a top 10 all time heavyweight great. Right......

This coming from a guy who thought Conor would beat Floyd. You are still delusional as ever I see.

How's that is Ortiz is 40 and never been Champ Klitschko had been Champ for 10 years. Wilder was lucky he was in there with someone that never goes to the body typical of people who spend to much years in the amateurs
