I rewatched it last night and something I also noticed was that, while the ref did give Wilder a break at the beginning of the round after which he was hurt , I feel like he couldn't recovered irregardless. Watching their both motor skills and coordination, it was all over with once Wilder landed the first big true cross. When that happened, you could see the fight flee from Ortiz' gaze as it found the ceiling and then settled back on Wilder, that was when it was over with.

Was a damn good heavyweight fight!!!!!!!!

It was 13 seconds at the start of the 8th round. Wilder did not ask for it and was surprised too. It's just excuses made by haters.
