I perfectly agree with you. I don't understand people here keeping throwing ***** @ Kovalev, as he was a walking dead boxer. I mean, have all of you so called 'experts', seen what Krusher did to this guy with a 2 punches combo? Nose and cheekbone crushed. Btw, he made biggest damage with a left hook, allegedly his 'weak' shot. Yes, he might be 35 now and maybe a little slower than his prime, but guys, he's got dynamite in those hands. Bivol is good, strong and fast and i like the guy but... Could he cope with such a devastating fury? As far as Chickenson or Jack... Well, easy money for this version of 'Krusher '...

Stop crying as if Kovalev had a choice. He wanted to fight Barrera and Barrera opted to fight the less experienced pro Bivol and lost the gamble. I seriously don't understand why there are so many whiny little *****es on BS who complain even after a great night of fights.
If guys like Stevenson would step up and start fighting the other title holders, you wouldn't have lesser competition fighting for a title. It takes two willing parties to make a 50/50 fight on paper.
If you want to blame anyone, blame Barrera. He didn't want any part of Kovalev.Comment

You mention Wilder as if he's been fighting all top level competition up to this point. This was his FIRST real challenge at heavyweight. The rest of his fights were totally one sided beat downs against fringe contenders and journeymen. That's on Wilder. He finally stepped up because he had to in order to be considered relevant. I'm glad he stepped up and proved himself. he now deserves credit.

I watched the Kov fight last because him fighting a Russian nobody again doesn’t interest me
I’m not knocking Kov per se because history has shown that He will fight anyone even in their backyard to make a fight
More of a knock on Duva and HBO for using their limited dates and funds on a fight no one could give a sh.it about
The fight was a mismatch and uninteresting when it was announced and delievered when the fight got underway
But hey the positive is Kov now has 3 of the least prestigious straps in the sportComment

I'm ready for a big fight, just not a southpaw....Comment

Any casual boxing fan knew that Mikhalkin power was sub-zero for about 3 years... Very nice technique and fast feet will get you there and that's about it... Impressive amateur career that went nowhere and won't go anywhere...Comment

Mikhalkin did beat Beterbiev in three of their four amateur fights, and he has an extensive amateur record with over 200 fights. He was the best among those willing to fight. I just don’t like seeing people right away jumping to the conclusion that Kovalev ducked this or that guy. Chances are this or that guy is the one who refused to fight Kovalev...Comment
