Wilder fans are an extension of the fanboy-ism of PBC, Haymon, and Mr. 50-0. Wait until Wilder is 49-0 and his fans turn on him because he will be threatening their hero's record.

They do that in New York any time a fighter has been badly hurt. Everyonr complains but it’s their protocol.

I thought it was odd, but not sure it really helped him.

I wanted Ortiz to win and I'm by no means a fan of Wilder, but Wilder did good. Ortiz had him where he wanted him. He got complacent and lowered his tempo which was ultimately his undoing.

A very exciting fight though. Time well spent.

He gets props for finally stepping up, but a 7 defence champion should be ashamed of losing to an old man and then finishing him when he is gassed, Ortiz literally couldn't fight at that point, he was just marching forward like an amateur and flicking out jabs..... I said this the other day about Dave Allen, either Mike Tyson or **** off if you are the smaller man.... disgraceful these HW's even exist, they have the blueprint, ****ing get explosive!!!!! fucing step inside and hook really fast!!!!!

He's making a habit of getting out skilled and out boxed by guys before that bomb finally lands. I think he's nothing but a monster right hand but so far that's been enough. I think he is one of the weakest heavyweight champs I've ever seen but he keeps winning. So he's either better than he seems or the era continues to be sub par. He's dangerous for all 12 and he's clearly beatable. It makes his fights must watch.

Remind you of another fight involving another champion? same thing happened with Klitschko.... after the 8th round where Wilder was stumbling about the ring not even getting pressured, my mind went..... he's gona recover..... and then in the 9th Wilder started snapping the right, even Nelson said it as well.... Wilder is back, he's punching again.... ****.... If Ortiz had aplied pressure in that round and a half~?~?~~?

                    Several but not all.
He did answer the questions about chin, stamina, and ability to beat a dangerous top contender.

He did not answer anything about technique or when he going to start throwing a hook correctly. Oddly enough he landed it in taking Ortiz out, and sometimes as a strategy he throws a wonky azz slapping hook to set up something else devastating like that uppercut at the end, but some of them just look awful I admit.

Maybe Hearn & AJ might be more tempted to make the fight if they think they have a weakness to exploit. Providing Parker doesn't have an upset to hand out at the end of this month..

We knew he had power before this, we wanted to see him do so against better quality and he did that tonight. He really needs to go back to the basis still but massively impress with the heart he shown tonight against a live opponent.
