I think AJ fans are crapping themselves even more than they were beforehand.

Deontay just weathered bombs from a guy you could argue hits just as hard as Joshua.

And not only came out the other side of it, but wound up annihilating the guy that had him hurt.

    I'll say it again:

Deontay Wilder, lack of skill and all, has never failed to deliver his power to his opponent.

And there is absolutely no reason to believe AJ will be any different.

    None.

once aj crushes his no hoper, we will see who finds a way of not signing the contract

i can see ko-tay landing a wild shot aj doesnt see coming and thats a wrap
      or
aj catches ko-tay with a shot in between exchanges and its a wrap.

      wont go 12

      im leaning 45/55 ko-tay

I've continually picked AJ but this is the first time I would pick against him in that fight. I really didn't think Wilder could eat shots like that. His chin is real, as is his stamina. AJ is a much better boxer, but I don't think his chin will take the punishment Ortiz did.

Wilder always had a chin. He just displayed tonight. The bad thing was he did not use his jab. what the heck was his problem?

Wilder showed true grit against a true Cuban southpaw and won. Joshua won’t fight him.

Look Ortiz was the real deal. No way would AJ ever be allowed in the ring with Ortiz. AJ is a proctected fighter and his own management protects that glass jaw for a reason.

Exactly. Wilder has a great chin. If AJ hurts him he will need to throw everything to stop him. He can do that, as AJ is a great combination finisher. However, if Wilder survives, AJ would be spent and you can't be that with Wilder.

I think AJ is a better boxer and without KDs he will collect rounds, but chin, single punch power and STAMINA are on Wilder's side.

Fascinating fight, hope we won't wait too long.

Ortiz was very crafty. I saw his game plan early in round 1. What Wilder did that I had doubt he could do was he walked in to take one to land one. He sat back long enough and had to force the fight.

His jab wasn’t landing like usual so he had to walk in and put his chin out there. He had to change the ride of the fight. He did. He tried it early and got the knockdown. He tried it again and got hurt. He did it a third time and got the knockdown and then the stoppage.

Wtf? You talking about? Everybody knows Ortiz has KO power especially in his left hand. Go somewhere with that nutthuggery

True. Wilder’s reach and power were proven. His chin not tested until tonight. Fortunately for him he rallied and stopped Ortiz. He otherwise would have lost the decision if it went to the scorecards.
