To pull Dirrell out, is like saying they dont trust him to outbox Utz the rest of the rounds. Which he started doing better in rounds 6-7. The fight started 4-1(Utz) for me, but Dirrell was really coming back. He was waiting for certain punches to play out, and you pull him before he gets his chance? What the ****. Yeah he might've not gotten that chance and Utz might've been super careful knowing he's up on the cards, but jesus **** this is his career on the line and they just took it away from him cause they were scared. What the ****!? lol
    He quit.

Tbh I could see Uz winning every round this fight... not sure how some people had it a two round fight.

That's the thing, he didnt quit and he never quits. People who dont like him say that, but he's always been knocked out or fights til the end. So where does he quit comes from. His corner quit, they saw him taking shots and they got scared. Maybe its cause he's been hit illegally twice and knocked out from it both times, maybe cause they saw him get knocked down few times with James Degale(in which he got up from all the times he got knocked down and came back and almost won)..but that's part of boxing.

To pull him out like that, when he was clearly throwing harder shots knowing he's losing, its just embarassing by his corner. They embarassed him and themselves. He was taking the shots fine and this is a career ending fight if he loses, why would you take his only chance away? So what if he's getting outboxed. In a last fight scenario, you would think they would let him try his heart out. He was still very gamed. But they just pull him out in the 8th and pretty much shame him in front of everyone lol

And yeah Utz definitely has punching power. But he wasn't landing the power punches that often. He was landing quick punches and counters. He rarely threw the real power punches tonight, prob cause they're wild and he was sharp and accurate tonight. Dirrell looked like nothing was wrong except for the fact that he was outboxed the whole fight lol. They shouldve let him try..so disappointing.

For those questioning the stoppage. Dirrell was getting dominated, looking worse in every round while getting busted up cleanly. It looked like a long beating was about to happen. The kind that could turn Dirrell into a vegetable. See: Hatton Vs. Malignaggi

Dirrell tried to save face by acting like he wanted to continue.

Andre is a quitter man. Get over it. He’s literally faked being knocked out before. On more than one occasion.
