I'm not even convinced he lost any weight. I never saw Wilder last year or this year or ever in person. They can do all kinds of photoshopping and video gimmicks to make someone look a tiny bit bigger or smaller no problem. Maybe Wilder is actually gaining weight, but everyone is trying to convince us he's losing weight. Like I said, could be all kinds of things.

Wilder's legs might be toothpicks but his torso is broad and wide and his traps are flipping huge.. His traps are bigger than AJ's, makes him look bigger and taller than he really is. He's very top heavy.

But he probably lost it so he can move around more.. Very good tactic against Ortiz who is slow.. The guy couldn't even find Malik Scott. Plus Ortiz is older so his reaction speed won't be there, Wilder will be way too quick for him.. Only a matter of time till he lands that big right.

Ok...first things first. The comparison photos are not providing any info. 1 pic he is facing the camera, second one is a lateral view. Besides that, he hasn’t lost 15 lbs. he has only dropped 6 since last weigh in; which was only 120 days ago. Math peeps. Hell there are too many variables to be “fishy”. Now let’s watch the fight and make further remarks after! Good fights across the board tonight!!!

If I'm looking at this simply - it could be that he doesnt want to be top heavy and wants more speed and movement for his game.

The only thing that might concern me about this is his punch resistance, but it seems that the benefits he feels from being at a comfortable weight outweighs the benefits of him bulking up.

I'm not sure if it's a hidden agenda or genuine un-awareness, but Wilder is not a heavy guy who struggles with his weight, in terms of getting too heavy, he's naturally lean and I believe trying to bulk up was just not working for him. So it's not like he's trying to lose weight or muscle, but more a case of him finding a more natural, and possibly more effective, fighting weight. So this whole "what heavyweight has done this before" crap doesn't add up with the context when you realize you're comparing a naturally lean and athletic person to fat men who are considered athletes because they know how to fight.
