I’m not saying wilder is not any good but, having viewed the amateur bout with sconiers, I have concluded the following...
Sconiers looked like a middleweight in there against the far bigger, taller heavier man.
Second, they both had head guards on with wilders shot having no impact, AT ALL.
yes, I see a heavyweight amir Khan in there.
That’s then and this is now, his skills and abilities to avoid punches has improved a lot but punch resistance Demi’s he’s over a period of time and we have seen him rocked on a number of occasions since.
He does have “the look” when swinging from way back and twisting his whole frame into each throw, yes he gets the crowd going with all that and appears to respond when wobbled.
How much juice can his jaw take?
Let’s consider he ain’t that man no more but neither is any other heavyweight from then to now.
A well timed shot off a double jab or the ole feint/cross nice and quick will tell us how much that chin has improved.
I only watched a couple of his fights including the sparring with David Haye and I see the quicker man beating him every time.
Who’s he fought that’s quicker? OR that has good timing on the counter?

The fight you are referring to isn't the Sconiers fight. Sconiers was Wilders 20th opponent i believe and knocked him silly. Sconiers was 6'2 and 205lbs.....20 losses including to a 52 year old razor rudduck....Wilder is a hype job.

Ortiz vs Whyte would be a huge mismatch, peds or no peds Ortiz is levels above the likes of Chisora and Whyte.

This would be a great win for Wilder but I see the counter punching Ortiz winning clearly. Wilder will obviously going to stay on his bike all night to avoid Ortiz hence the low weight, utilise the first fight plan against Stiverne.

            Dude, I don't think he's ever gone into a fight at 225.

EDIT - After looking into it, it looks like he's had 5 fights over 220, and only 3 above 225.

Good thing he isn't fighting a prime Tyson Fury at 260lbs then.

In that case they would probably make AJ vs King Kong, Ortiz wouldn't hide behind money split like Windmill.

                Light ain't right

Deontay is beginning to drink his own bathwater.

It's not as if he ran through Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Ernie Shavers, Larry Holmes, Ron Lyle, Jerry Quarry ( a murderers row of 70's heavyweights) or even the crew that Tyson dispatched.

And lets not forget that suspect "knockout" of Malik Scott...it's time for Deontay to be humbled.

Ortiz is going to have to knock him out..because they are NOT going to give him the decision and derail the Joshua money fight.

Is this the same Klitschko who was considered the best active heavyweight in the world at the time? Yeah, I remember that. I remember how many of you wondered if AJ could win, close on the heels of him fighting another undefeated prospect in Whyte. All this when he's career was barely double figures. He shouldve waited until he'd had about 40 fights before taking on he's first test hey?

Very True because the 1970's,1980' 1990's Heavyweights and Rocky Marciano would destroy todays Heavy Weights

Sconiers was 222lbs when he fought Wilder. Wilder was 217 lbs. Those are the facts. Yes, Wilder got dropped but no need to create lies about Sconiers' weight. Anyone about 200 lbs can drop another person - anyone with common sense knows that. Every fighter has been dropped - so?
