That's makes sence. So not too many on here will get that.Give the man a break. He displayed the championship heart, intestinal fortitude and courage to step back to back in the ring against two of the most avoided fighters in the world in GGG and Spence. Doesn't he deserve a cherry pick after that ordeal and nearly losing the sight out both of his eyes in the process also?Comment

It can be looked at both ways, it took heavy criticism for both of them to actually fight a live opponent, both build up a resume of no one going past 35-0 without too many risks, compared to their rivals. So yeah it’s a double edged sword.Comment

Dude you are beyond help.Yea Wilder ducks Whyte???????Not one person on here would have rated Whyte higher then Ortiz before Wilder signed to fight him now all the fanboys are out in full force trying to put down Ortiz in case Wilder beats him.And just said he will take less then 50/50 he just wants Joshua to take same deal in rematch if you lose. And NO ONE on Wilder team said 50/50 Wilder saying means nothing. And have you ever bought a car or anything you don't start out at what you think you will get its like Parker wanting 40% I told every one then he was just tryiong to get to 30%.And he did and same with Wilder there just trying to get close to 35-40.Comment

Yes, that is part of the problem. But another issue is that with the sport so fragmented, it's so hard to get back in the mix.
Brook is moving to 154. Haymon controls all of the belts except the WBO. It's not like Brook is going to go try to become a mandatory and get 25% in a purse bid. So his only option is to try to over pay Golden Boy for Ali's belt. A very expensive proposition, if Golden Boy is even willing to do it.
Honestly, I think that's part of why Brook even took the risk against Spence. If he had an easy route to a 154 pound belt, maybe he would have vacated. With no easy route to a 154 pound belt win or lose, that could have been a factor in why he took the chance against Spence. At least it got him a nice payday.Comment

Not really no one even expected Brook to fight Spence and Wilder has signed to fight two top 5 guys before this(pov, ortiz)and now signed to fight him again when he had VERY GOOD reasons not too.And as far as him having 32 fights before he fought a top 10 guy is more about him only having 25 Am fights and only boxing since he was 19.Comment

He had no where to run to but Spence, that was his mandatory. Put Povetkin and Ortiz on his resume, that’s 2 fighters in 40 fights/10 years.... yeahNot really no one even expected Brook to fight Spence and Wilder has signed to fight two top 5 guys before this(pov, ortiz)and now signed to fight him again when he had VERY GOOD reasons not too.And as far as him having 32 fights before he fought a top 10 guy is more about him only having 25 Am fights and only boxing since he was 19.Comment

Either way we both know most fighters would have not fought Spence.ESP when he knew he was not staying at 47.Yes, that is part of the problem. But another issue is that with the sport so fragmented, it's so hard to get back in the mix.
