I'm not sold on Wilder's chin

thats the biggest question mark goin into this fight.

his bird legs indicate he'll do the booty dew if tapped on the chin.

AJ proved his chin already. this is Wilder's first chin test.

if Ortiz lands flush will Wilder do the booty dew or will he absorb and keep coming?

AJ's chin is questionable too but questioning a heavyweights chin is like questioning the kind of damage getting hit by a truck produces. People their size can pretty easily kill a person with a hit or at least alter their lives. HW division is not the place to question chins as all of these guys even the lower tiered fighters can cause serious damage if you make the wrong mistake.

The fact that Wilder was dropped by Sconiers has to be abit of a worry though. He's no puncher. And he hasn't had to take a Klitschko type punch, unless you count sparring. I've got a bad feeling about Deontay tbh. He pulls back and throws chin way up.

I think he's gotten better until he smell blood in the water. I expect him to keep ortiz at the end of the jab and pull a stiverne on him. I've been saying that since the fight got announced. This could very well be Ortiz's cash out fight too. We'll see, him losing shakes up the HW landscape too much and kills off three to four potential super fights.

Well, if Wilder has been in 40 fights and his defense is so good he has yet to take a hard shot, then I highly doubt a fat, slow 40 year old is going to be the first opponent to land a decent shot. I get saying Wilder's chin is unproven, but to claim he is so great at defense that none of 39 different opponents could not land one good shot only makes Wilder an even bigger favorite.

This is heavyweight fighting. A good shot by any hw can ko any other hw. Hasim Rahman ktfo of Lennox Lewis. AJ went down like a sack of potatoes and only "proved" his chin by having Wlad refuse to go for the kill.

Joshua's chin will always be a question mark but Wilder has been dropped by a fat bum and also hurt pretty badly and dropped by a journeyman. He'd still be asleep if Wlad hit him with the shot he hit Joshua with.

It's funny his fanboys are painting him as having a chin that puts George Chuvalo to shame but there's a reason he's been kept away from punchers and he's been dropped by bums.

This is a fair point. Wilder takes shots well but Ortiz brings a lil extra, PEDs or not.

AJ didn’t prove ****. He took a 41 year old mans punch.
