Yeah. I just had a look through and your only post was something like 'is Bob dead?' ha ha, but yeah. If there was anything to say what your actual pick was I don't think any of us would have a problem, even if it wasn't a formal pick - like just the winner or something - but with what we got we can't really do anything about it.

Yes it was close that sucks if there was anything in your post I would be in favor of giving you them. But I'm only one of four and that could set us up for a lot of BS going forward.

I'm kinda in agreement here - though we should run it past Siablo - certainly for the Estrada - Rungvisai fight due to the poll mix-up we should be fairly broad in what counts as a pick. Hell even a 'WAR RUNGVISAI' with nothing else mighta been enough for 20pts... problem is Pandas actually gave us nothing to work with. Going forward we might want to think about what to do with informal picks though... I'm for giving the benefit of the doubt where possible, and probably putting it to the vote between the three of us (+Bob if he's about) if it ain't clear cut.

The other thing I'm thinking is that we need to be looking a touch further ahead with the pick' ems. We didn't decide who we were having in this weeks pick 'em til Tuesday or Wednesday and it didn't get stickied til yesterday I think, which might not have given the less frequent posters a look in... I'm thinking we aim to decide the picks a week or more in advance and if possible have the Pick 'em thread up for Monday morning.

EDIT: Though honestly I'm not sure what to do for next weeks picks: the only majorish card is TR from the MSG theatre and that has Gvozdyk in what looks like a serious mismatch with Medhi Amar and Imam vs Ramirez for the WBC 140Lb strap.

I agree in giving credit where we can but we will be setting us up for maybe some trouble.I mean we can do it on a case by case deal but for most part I think we will be better off not doing that unless its REAL clear. As far as next week only one I think is Iman vs Ramirez or take a week off.Thats a good even fight but not real big.I think its prob worthy the Gvozdyk fight is WAY to one sided in my opinion.

Agreed all through. Gvozdyk may be a fairly hot fighter in a fairly hot division but it doesn't make this a worthwhile fight by any stretch. Imam and Ramirez may not be quite as high profile as Gvozdyk but in terms of intrigue, their fight is leagues ahead... and I don't think we're setting the bar too low here since it is a title fight. And yeah, I'm cool with the picks actually having to look like picks... I thought a bit of flexibility with the Estrada - Rungvisai fight might be appropriate, but now we've established the format I think it's fair to ask people to use it. Although I still say we count partial picks (ie just the winner without the detail and/or method) for the points they earn.

The other thing on my mind is looking at how we can do a bit of a cull on the players who have only voted once or twice and ain't playing regularly... I don't want to dissuade or kick people off who have just started and ain't got many picks or points yet, but it would be good to ditch some of the deadwood, I just ain't got any real good ideas how to do it.

Agree 100% on giving partial picks if they got Winner and nothing else that's on them but they should get the 20 if their right. As far as the dead wood I think we might just have to wait a little and then set a # of fights. But we also might need to look at WHEN they made them.Say they only got 2 picks by next month but BOTH picks have been recent then keep them but if they got 2 and they were at start then drop them idk that's my 1st thought.

That was my line of thinking too, it's just that it'd mean looking through the players individual picks since the leaderboard doesn't tell us when picks were made... still, half the players have only one or two picks and now I'm keeping a log of when we're adding new players it shouldn't be that much work.

Start time is always when the first round begins. It's hard to guess that time.
