As normal, I've included a link to the pick 'em thread to make it easier for players to reference their picks and reduce the chance of errors. Per current procedure I have included a copy of the leaderboard prior to updating in post #524 (above). Once again this should make for easier error checking and ensure maximum transparency.

For the purposes of winning streaks the picks will be treated as effectively simultaneous. Any player getting any of the picks incorrect will have their current winning streak broken, but will be credited with a new winning streak equal to the number of picks they got correct (0, 1 or 2). Any players who got all picks correct (which will be exactly none of us this week) will, of course, have their current winning streak increased by 3.

As usual new players will only be added to the leaderboard if they have made at least one successful pick (ie. for Crawford, Santa Cruz or Charlo). Players who are not already on the leaderboard will not be added if they picked unsuccessfully (I will highlight any such players in blue).

Players to be added to the leaderboard will be highlighted in red.

There was some discussion about it after less year I think, either way, Bob changed Wide to > / = 12 points for this years competition. I ain't in agreement myself (and not just because I picked LSC close ).

It's in the amended rules at the bottom of the first post and explained a bit clumsily slightly higher in the body of the text about how to make picks... either way, that's the rules we've been playing with...

I might think about putting it to a player poll to change that back to Wide > 12, but it seems late in the year to be making changes. It's quite likely we'll have a look at some alternatives for next year though - maybe 3 options for DEC with a 'very close' type option incorporating the DRAW result or something - haven't really got it worked out yet, but I'm open to suggestions.

Damn, man. Looking at this weeks Pick 'em and the obvious frontrunner was Spence vs Ocampo, but the bookies have Ocampo at something like 14/1 on average. ****. Like GGG - Vanes it ain't one it feels like we can really skip, but equally it's hardly likely to split the players, much.

More fun to my mind would be doing Roman vs Flores (although at 5/1 on Flores that's pretty much a mismatch too) and Granados vs Fortuna (no odds that I can find, but kinda hard to call with Granados coming up in weight and probably giving up a lot of size), but I think we gotta roll with the star attraction here...

Only other title fights this weekend are Acosta vs Buitrago out of PR but they're so far down the food chain I think it'd be hard to drum up interest, and on Sunday the TBRBs #7 and #8 Flyweights square off in Ukraine (Dalakian vs Thaiyen) for the WBA title, which has the makings of a great scrap... but did I mention it's in Kiev. On Sunday.

Ah, fuck it. Tripleheader it is. Granados vs Fortuna at least adds a touch of uncertainty to the pick 'em given that the two US title fights are basically mismatches.

As normal, I've included a link to the pick 'em thread to make it easier for players to reference their picks and reduce the chance of errors. Per current procedure I have included a copy of the leaderboard prior to updating in post #524 (above). Once again this should make for easier error checking and ensure maximum transparency.

For the purposes of winning streaks the picks will be treated as effectively simultaneous. Any player getting any of the picks incorrect will have their current winning streak broken, but will be credited with a new winning streak equal to the number of picks they got correct (0, 1 or 2). Any players who got all picks correct (which will be exactly none of us this week) will, of course, have their current winning streak increased by 3.

As usual new players will only be added to the leaderboard if they have made at least one successful pick (ie. for Crawford, Santa Cruz or Charlo). Players who are not already on the leaderboard will not be added if they picked unsuccessfully (I will highlight any such players in blue).

Players to be added to the leaderboard will be highlighted in red.

an * by a player indicates that their leaderboard entry has been updated for this fight.
