Nah. I don't think it's necessary for you to watch two cards. There'll be plenty of other guys willing to call time when the fight they're watching starts. Bigjavi's RBR threads always have a few posters who'll do the business, and anyway, if that fails it shouldn't be too difficult to find out what time a fight started retroactively and just not count any picks after it began.

So you guys just go with what we doing?who going end tread?But as far even fights that start an hour apart can mean everthing.If we going with at bell we need to close at 1st bell and be sure its 1st bell because just 15 mins apart on start time enough to get burned.

Well I'm thinking we give it a try this week at least. Last week it worked fine with NC uppercut calling time for Siablo - and bear in mind it's in the interests of the players who have already voted to call the cut-off time time accurately. So we see how it goes. If we run into any problems we maybe have a set cut off in future.

Ummm. I'm reluctant to change the 'opening bell' ruling, though there's no real reason not to have an earlier call. How we deal with fights at different times is tricky though. Thing is for the US fights much of the time it ain't gonna fall on me to close the thread, cos I'm usually tucked up in bed these days, but it'd be my inclination to do a separate vote close for each fight. Picks cast on the fight that has already started wouldn't count, but would still be accepted for the later fight. It does sound like a ballache, and it might turn out to be too much hassle, but I'm for giving it a go for the time being. What it might be worth doing is enrolling a couple of the players to post the cut-off in the thread, just in case any of us ain't on the ball.

The way I did it last week was ask to be notified when the Bivol fight started and I was notified when the Wilder fight began it went smoothly.

You could make it that all picks must be final by 12 noon the day of the fight.

I do my film study the Saturday of the fight. Just make it that no posts can be edited that have picks, otherwise it would invalidate the pick. This is also why I liked the poll, cuz you couldn't change your pick.

Do your study earlier, most of these fights are posted a few weeks in advance.

C'mon, every other "fantasy" game does until game starts. I don't see a reason to differ.
