Actually, I'm not. I'm not even a GGG fan. I just think his obsessed detractors are a bit weird with the dude. I've never heard him say he's Mexican. I've heard him say "Mexican style" which is a term that I don't like because it's disrespectful and there is not one defined Mexican style. I understand it's marketing though and don't take everything literally.

It would appear you spend your entire time here either bashing eastern euro fighters and/or (usually in the same posts) giving US fighters every benfit of the doubt and defending them to the fullest hence why plenty think your weird.

Him donating stuff or giving stuff to Mexico? Who cares? He lives in LA, knows his audience and he has a large Mexican fan base. He may just be a good dude I don't know I haven't met him. It's good marketing because it works to an extent.

Great post. So true. I've been a Canelo fan since the beginning and Mexicans were very much behind him the whole way, but somewhere along the lines he changed. Either that or his true colors have been shown. It's so odd for me when I see Mexicans not root for him.

yeah, as NewEngland mentioned, marquez was very much a hit and don't get hit fighter and for this reason wasnt accepted by mexican fans despite his tremendous talent.

Let me tell y'all the real reason Canelo is disliked by many of his own people. It's because he's talented, famous, ****** rich and at the rate he's going, his pocket will be even fatter.

Fat cats, in general, aren't liked. They ain't easy to root for. It's understandable. I was once the hottest s**t in my town and people knew me and what I brought to the table. Their reaction? They slammed me for no reason. I didn't even act like A.B but I wasn't liked.
