Yes but early on in his career the level of testing was very different compared to the level of testing for the two Yamanaka fights. He still has a lot to prove outside the ring IMO. Great fighter in the ring though.

What I find even funnier than the disregard for rules, the un-importance of weigh-ins and the encouragement for lack of professionalism is the idea that Japan and Japanese Boxing fans flood this forum and are loud mouths and that Nery has haters.

Japan has more world champions than Mexico currently and the only one with somewhat of a fan base and even that's not loud is Inoue. Nobody disliked Nery until he was officially based on facts caught cheating twice. In fact I rooted for him in the first fight and was indifferent about this one.
