How much did he miss weight by for this Martinez fight?Comment

For the Martinez fight he came in at 55KG or 121.25 lbs. It was for the WBC Bantamweight title eliminator for the right to fight Yamanaka. The WBC didn't even make him lose the 3.25 lbs and just allowed him to fight and when Nery won declared him the mandatory for Yamanaka. If it would have been the other way around and the Columbian Martinez was that much overweight, the WBC would have disqualified him on the spot. Then Nery makes weight at the 1st Yamanaka fight with the aid of zilpaterol. His last fight against Villanueva was a contracted 120. Now he comes in at 121. So 3 of the last 4 fights he has been a Super Bantam and the one time he makes bantamweight he likely used a PED which also is a weight reducer in humans. So despite yesterday's drama, Nery got what he wanted. He gets to fight Yamanaka without having to cut down to 118 in a division he already knew he could no longer make and would have to give up his crown anyways. My prediction is Yamanaka will get knocked out again because he has to fight a bigger guy who was allowed to come in at 121 while Yamanaka had to make 118.Comment
