Well in 2006, Floyd wasnt fully accustomed to the higher weight as shown in the Baldomir bout. He wasnt a full fledged WW yet without the strength of a real welterweight.

But Floyd is Floyd and i cant picture the current version of Spence beating him. Spence fought one elite opponent at WW in Brook and it was far from a dominating performance. Brook gave him problems and Floyd is leagues above him except for in the power department but it doesnt matter.

Spence in his current form cannot beat Floyd.

2006 Floyd was small, he came into the Judah fight at 146lbs on fight night (146 on the scale). Judah was just slightly bigger at 150lbs. Against Baldomir he came in at 149lbs vs 162lbs for Baldomir. I don't know how it would go because both TC and Spence weigh in the 150s and they are both pretty good fighters, but Floyd was great. Those 2 haven't shown that they're great yet.

Floyd's opponents at welter were usually smallish (and not very good.) Spence is exactly the type of opponent I'd like to have seen Floyd against. It would be a good fight.
