Comments Thread For: Whyte: Parker Lacking The Power and Defense To Beat Joshua

DILLIAN WHYTE is the latest boxer to weigh in with his opinion on Anthony Joshua's upcoming clash with Joseph Parker. Both fighters have put their IBF, WBA Super, IBO and WBO belts as well as their unbeaten records on the line at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on March 31. Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) remains a huge outsider in this title-unifying heavyweight clash.

I think Parker is going to do a lot better than we think. Yes, he does suck but if he fights short and keeps his lateral movement fluid, he has a slight chance. I think Parker takes AJ the distance.

I have to respectfully disagree.. Kevin Barry has been here before and learned from the Tua-Lewis fight he tells us, he will need the experience for after the fight, as he will be consoling another out-of-his-depth Kiwi HW boxer who's just been exposed.

I see AJ getting to him early, and Parker being like a wombat in the headlights...

If the Parker camp has any brains they would had trained to get AJ into the middle or late rounds. That is where his best opportunity is.

Parker is not a counter puncher by nature so he won't be able to out box AJ in the first few rounds.

If anybody knows anything about lacking the power that would be Whyte

When these two were being compared a few years ago I always thought AJ would take care of him in a few rounds and I still feel this.

I see the upset of the year with Parker winning by stoppage. Team Joshua then forcing the rematch clause so expect Joshua v Parker 2.

I really wish Parker to win, at the same time i think about Charles Martin

Parker is far, far too easy to hit. Can’t see it going to distance; think Parker needs to bait AJ into getting sloppy like he did against Whyte and try to catch him early.
