Facts and RTards never mix! Again you would have to be a FULL Rtard to sign a contract when your going to trial. That would be like filling for bankruptcy but signing to collect $30,000,000 before the trial!

Guess what??? Now that $30million could he part of the settlement. Think about it??? They could say that was ALSO money they would of made with Canelo. Or even WORSE??? Think of the mess it would of made if ALLSTAR was granted Canelos promotional rights back...

Gennady Golovkins priority is to unify the middleweight division against Saul Canelo Alvarez before entertaining the idea of catchweight super-fights, his promoter has reiterated.

GGG's promoter: "It was clear that the winner of Canelo-Cotto was obligated to face Gennady. When Canelo won they asked us for a voluntary defence and we allowed it."

If you’re wondering why it’s taking so long, step-aside fees have been paid to Golovkin by both Cotto and Canelo in order to prolong the imminent bout with the Kazakh knockout artist.

Alvarez had asked for, and received, dispensation from WBC boss Mauricio Sulaiman to take a voluntary defense instead, paying Golovkin step-aside money both times

These same people might also conveniently forget that Alvarez paid Golovkin step aside money on more than one occasion so that he could fight less dangerous albeit more lucrative opposition.

Golden Boy Promotions paid Golovkin some step-aside money to allow Canelo to fight Amir Khan on May 7, 2016

Golovkin and his team have also taken step aside money multiple times to allow Canelo and former champion, Miguel Cotto to take on other fights.

          http://www.************.com/2016/02/...get-strippped/

Tom Loeffler says the winner of the May 7 fight between WBC middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (46-1-1, 32 KOs) and Amir Khan (31-3, 19 KOs) will have 15 days to decide whether they’ll defend the WBC 160lb title against Golovkin next.

If they choose not to face him, then they’ll be stripped of the title by the World Boxing Council for failing to face Golovkin, the mandatory challenger. According to Loeffler, they have it in writing that the winner of the Canelo-Khan fight must make a decision whether to face GGG.

“It wasn’t our side that asked for the voluntary defense. It was a request from Canelo and Golden Boy,” Loeffler said via ESPN.com. “It builds the fight with Canelo and Gennady. We have the voluntary defense against Wade, Canelo has his against Khan and after that it’s clearly stipulated that the winner of Canelo-Khan has 15 days to say they will fight Gennady (or Wade) or they’ll get stripped of the title. It’s in writing, but I can’t predict if Canelo will take the fight or not.”
Hey dumd arss all the articles relate to cotto and one time Canelo with Khan, so your point is???

Stop it! you making to much sense, this idiot gonna hate Canelo no matter what, I admit it I Was a Canelo hater and took side with GGG when Canelo drop the belt, but after inquiring into the legal issues with Tutico Zavala and his demands of getting Canelo back from GBP. It all made sense to me, he dropped the belt because he did not know who his propmotional company would be (All Star Boxing or GBP) and if he ended up going with All Star? Canelo would have less leverage on any promotional contract, given that all Star is less than a minor league promotional company. Incapable to dictate, negotiate better terms.

I at least admitted, and see Canelo wasn't afraid at all, he took on undefeated Trout, even when GBP (and at that time Richard Schaefer was still in charge) he took the fight vs Lara the main man at 154 again against GBP wishes, he fought GGG even though and according to many here, his reputation as macho man was ruined. in other words he has face every buggy man of every weigh but that's not enough, and will never be enough for haters..... who gives a F*** what haters think??? Canelo will keep proving them wrong and getting the big bucks, haters on the other hand will continue to eat their words, frustration and disappointment...and continue to be broke, sore losers and haters. LOL

Yes of course, but the previous poster is denying there even was a step-aside, despite ample evidence being posted.

Cotto paid the $$$ not Canelo. Canelo paid only for Khan. All GGG had to say was BS! Im not doing it again. I dont feel sorry for ppl who take $$ instead of fights.

Correct, but that poster was denying that there was a step-aside for the Khan fight. So you and I actually agree here. That poster was clearly incorrect.

You are a verified, certified, optimist! Unless I miss the guess, the victory will be disputed no matter who wins the fight, robbing the winner of any claim to being undisputed champion.
