Kinda depends how you define it really, doesn't it, man? In it's original form, not at all, it's a social phenomenon specifically tied to class or caste based societies. If you want to broaden it into 'attempting to find a partner with the traits you desire' then yes, fair enough it's biological but then there's also no way you claim that it's female specific... are you gonna claim that men don't look for desirable traits in a partner?

Yes, as men we look for traits relating to reproduction - hence, why men prefer younger, fertile appearing women.

I'm not blaming women for Hypergamy, but you have to face it and adapt accordingly. The problem is that we live in a gynocentric society, so women's hypergamy is on steroids. They are falsely accusing men in an attempt to take away money and power from men and have it transferred to women.
