Comments Thread For: Cortez: Horn Beat an Old Pacquiao, Crawford Will Be Very Difficult

Hall of Fame referee and ESPN Deportes expert analyst Joe Cortez is not overly impressed with last year's big run by WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn (18-0-1, 12 KOs). Horn won what some felt was a controversial twelve round unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.

To be honest, I believe Horn is far from the level of Crawford, he's not an elite fighter.::

Horn was a sacrificial lamb that got lucky in his hometown decision. You will soon see the dangers of that.

Horn is gonna try and shut down any skill set of Crawfords with simply trying his best to BULLY & ROUGH HOUSE his way to success!

                mediocre ...

This guy is just not good, period. Crawford is gonna be to much for him to handle . It might be over by 5 rnds. I'm from Philippines and I know that pacquiao who is almost 40 yds old just trained 2 weeks and spared just 24 rnds for his fight and clearly won the match. So imagine what a younger , stronger , faster, pfp best at the present time , etc. etc Crawford will do to this class C fighter.

That's the only chance he has. It's not going to work..Boxing Crawford would be suicide.

I agree with you 100%! Horns gonna bring the madness though! These fights are what makes me a boxing fan: The tough naturally "big" bulldozing welterweight against the smaller pure boxer thats NEVER fought in the division before! When they actually face off at the press conferances - the size difference should answer more questions........nevertheless, I'd never bet against a pure boxer.......I'm just aware of Horns "strategies" for "success.".......doesnt mean its gonna work....
