I don't think you get it. No ref would stop the action in a critical moment of a fight to give a warning unless it was something outrageous. That was a critical moment in the fight. Kovalev was hurt and on the verge of being stopped. Who would have the advantage if the ref gave Kovalev a breather? We saw the same damn thing with Judah and Khan. The ref let it play it out and counted Judah out.

Weeks didn't call it every time Kovalev landed a rabbit punch either. A call get missed in practically every fight. He still did a respectable job.

Ok this makes no sense. It's not allowed in boxing either. But it happens and it doesn't always get called.

Kovalev is hurt on the ropes, trying to recover. Ward throws a few shots that Kovalev dodges. Kovalev clinches like normal people do when they're hurt. Coming out of a clinch, he attempts to throw a punch and get UPPERCUTTED to the nuts. He doubles over in agony, as Ward throws 2 more for good measure as Weeks is bending over looking at it.
This is the funniest part of his argument. After the right hand Kovalev went into full survival mode. Some shots landed and some missed but Kovalev was still reeling and hurt. Only one of the shots landed low the other 2 were legal.

Taking a knee would give him ~15 seconds to recover from both nutshots and the straight right. If he takes a knee, he doesn't need to goto the ropes, maybe he doesn't get caught with those low blows as easily as he was.

I know hindsight is 20/20 and it's very difficult to think on your feet, especially when you're in pain; he should have taken 2 knees in a row. He takes a 2 point loss but gets a decent breather and can continue fighting.
I don't even know what the heck you're saying here. I think your argument just did a somersault on itself.

Kovalev lost the fight because he was unprepared and Ward made better adjustments after the first fight. The man said it himself.
