Comments Thread For: Lewis Urges Jeff Horn To Attack Crawford Early, Expose Flaws

The man that is widely regarded as the greatest boxing trainer in the history of Australia, Hall of Famer Johnny Lewis, is urging WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn (18-0-1, 12 KOs) to have the mindset of a challenger and attack Terence Crawford (32-0, 23 KOs) early. Horn is scheduled to make a mandatory defense against Crawford on April 14th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Practical strategy. But Horn will be coming forward the unconventional bulldozer way, like he did with Manny. Crawfords gonna stay low and tie him up without expending unnecessary energy; then the ref will be "forced" to continually "break it up," giving Crawford a chance to work. I can't wait to see this one.....Horn is BIG, tough & determined, something all new to Crawford.

It's easy to say Horn has to attack early and keep busy but remember Crawford is a great counter puncher. It's hard to imagine this fight going the distance.

It's safe to say that Horn would beat all of Crawford's opponents (at 147) by being simply too big.

So dude is Crawford best opponent to date and he should take Bud's best punches unless Bud increase his power in a new 147 pounders body.

                  Crawford can box and punch.

You ain't beating Crawford being a bully and with only one game plan A.

It worked with Pacquiao because Manny isn't at his best on the back foot, but Crawford will like it.

It will take a much sensitive and complicated game plan to outbox Crawford, then a plan B and maybe c.
