Rungvisai vs. Estrada: I think I see the problem.

I just watched this back. My score didn't change - 115-113, Rungvisai. But I noticed something.

SOMEHOW, Lederman gave round 1 to Rungvisai. I can't see it. Of what did happen, Estrada clearly landed more solid punches. They weren't thudding blows, but they were solid. Lederman likes power punches - which is all Rungvisai throws.

Round 2 - seems everyone agrees, Estrada.

Rounds 3 - 7 - seems everyone agrees, Rungvisai. Round 5 stood out because he was fighting identical to how Manny used to fight, just slower.

So right there, if you go by Lederman's logic, Rungvisai's already at 6 rounds and only needs one more to win.

Round 8 - this one surprised me. Lederman and Kellerman both had Estrada winning it. I didn't see that - I saw his head getting snapped back repeatedly, and he was getting hit more than any of the previous rounds. It was like watching Horn/Pacquiao round 9. This is the round that I had Rungvisai at 6 rounds.

Round 9 - seems like everyone agrees, Estrada. Rungvisai was clearly winded at this point, likely from how much he threw in 5-8.

Round 10 - seems like everyone agrees, Estrada. Rungvisai is even more tired this round, his punches are just arm punches with little impact. He needed Panama Lewis at this point.

Round 11 - another surprise. I saw a scorecard that gave this to Estrada. I guess, but it felt like Rungvisai was the busier fighter, constantly making Estrada reset, and Estrada took a round off after 9 and 10 trying to take the guy out.

Round 12 - both guys just went for broke, but Rungvisai was exhausted, and while he never stopped throwing or moving, Estrada was teeing off on him. This round is where all of his "facial damage" occurred.

Unfortunately, either way, all he needed was that one extra round. Whether you gave him round 1 and another one, or you gave him round 8 and another one, or you only gave him 6 rounds total, there's simply no way Estrada won the fight, and the only way I can see a draw is if you ignore Rungvisai's body work.

115 - 113, Srisaket "Minny Pacquiao" Sor Rungvisai.

    Time to eat.

The only way a Mexican can beat such a Thai like Rungvi is to fight fire with fire, Estrada gotta drink his pee as Pac ate dog.

Delicacy out there apparently. He posted that shortly after the first Choco fight - and I suspect it's contributing to his success. Performance Enhancing Rodents.

Anyway, I didn't see a draw. I understand how some do, but I didn't see it. Even if all you care about is CompuBox - which is flawed - Rungvisai landed more.

Accuracy is fine and all, but if you throw 5 power punches and land all 5, that's 100% accuracy. But should that be scored higher than a person who throws 50 and lands 25?

To me, what got Rungvisai this victory is his activity and aggression. He was just the busier fighter, and his shots to the chest, rather than the head, were marks of an intelligent fighter.

One last thing, my brother in law is Thai. I remember eating at his moms house. She fixed my plate, piling all kinds of ish on. Everyone was passing on the beans, or what I thought was beans. Man that things had a hell of a tang. Everybody was laughing like hell. Come to find out it was a special delicacy..... ant eggs! They were ****ing huge man. I ate the whole serving, not wanting to be disrespectful.

Agreed bro, same score in the same way for me. I thought Estrada won the first 2 and I dont think he won't the late rounds like Lederman had it. They are already eying the rematch so we will see later this year. Rung's price continues to go up, he is getting better each fight & that 130lb frame seems too much for flyweights to hande along with what kind of fighter he is.
