Quite simply, James Toney has fought far better opposition. He has the best resume in boxing today.

Hopkins fought nobody apart from a couple of blown-up welterweights, Jones fought nobody apart from a bunch of washed-up guys.

Toney fought and beat Michael Nunn, Reggie Johnson and Mike McCallum in their primes, and his performance against Iran Barkley showed a level of skill that far exceeds anything I've ever seen from Hopkins or Jones. He's also been in with and whooped the asses of Doug DeWitt, Prince Charles Williams and Vassiliy Jirov, and schooled undefeated prospects like Merqui Sosa and Tim Littles who were never the same after losing to Toney.

He lost to Jones, sure, but he was in hospital the night before the fight having almost killed himself to make weight (entered camp late - weighing 222, and took Jones lightly), and it was the worst style match-up for Toney ANYWAY.

Toney, when he was 'on', was the smoothest counter-puncher of all-time. He's probably the slickest infighter in boxing history. Now, was he a concussive puncher? No. Did he have a lot of raw power? No. Did he put guys to sleep with one shot? Yes. He wasn't a Hard puncher, but he was a GOOD puncher. That guy was all skill, and he has the best resume in boxing by miles.

James Toney could make anybody miss without even moving his legs, so the guy not only has the resume to be ranked above Hopkins and Jones but he also has the ****ing SKILL to be ranked above those guys.

I don't disagree with someone picking Toney, I can see a case being made...

but Juy's "Roy has only beat washed up fighters" bit is quite funny conidering Roy defeated the other two of the three fighters he's being compared agaisnt.

Pick Toney, and be quiet Juy. When you elaborate you only illustrate your outright bias towards Jones. You're best set keeping those thoughts to yourself because they make you look ignorant.

Just read JuicyJuicy post, he explain it pretty well.

Most Jones fans are very uneducated young kids, so I don't blame them not knowing the truth about Jones, Toney or Hopkins.

Everytime I see you posting, you're saying something that's either outright ******, or blatently incorrect.

Calling these fighters bums goes right back to when you called Eubank and Benn bums.

Why can't you just stay quiet about things you know nothing about instead of illustrating ignorance?
