could be wrong..... but Ali likely wants to face a mando in order to legitimize his title before dropping back down to welter

      could be wrong

I called this fight the day after he beat Cotto lol man I wish I could find that thread. Anyway this is the safest fight with a named opponent that Ali could face. I don't see him unifying anytime soon he's probably gonna babysit this belt for a year. I bet anything if he wins Ali will fight Kell Brook next.

Happy to see Ali get a nice payday. Hopefully it takes place in the UK that way he gets an even bigger payday.

I don't have a single negative thing to say about that fight. Good stuff.

Good fight for Ali in his first defense.

Liam Smith is a solid Junior Middleweight who should test Sadam Ali. Smith is Top 10 in the division, a former title holder, and will not back down.

Not to mention the rest of the division is tied up in fights. If Sadam wins and makes a statement that will show that his win for Cotto wasn't a farce.

Could be. Golden Boy doesn't have much to offer for him at welterweight though.
