And so the truth comes out. Wilder admits that Mike Tyson was "way past his prime" when Lewis fought him. Guess how old Tyson was? Only 36 years old. Same as GGG, and at least two years younger than Luis Ortiz.

So Wilder admitted it without meaning to, but he is fighting a way past prime opponent on March 3rd, just like Canelo is on May 5th.

As for why Wilder is criticized, his career represents the biggest ratio of hype compared to level of opposition in the history of the sport. And as we can see from this article, he is yet another entitled Al Haymon boxer with an abrasive "me me me, I'm the best and I don't have to prove anything to anyone by fighting top guys because I'm the best because I say so and if you think different you're a racist" personality. If boxers from other countries behaved like that, they wouldn't get support either. Trust me, if Lomachenko and Usyk were talking **** about the Klitschkos, and bragging about how amazing they are while at the same time ducking elite competition for 40 fights, the Klitschkos wouldn't ride with them either.

It's really not that complicated at all. It's ridiculous that fans have to keep explaining this over and over again when it comes to so many of these Haymon advised boxers. What is he telling them exactly? What kind of culture is he teaching over at PBC? It is ruining careers, and the sport of boxing. It is making so many of these boxers impossible to root for.

If you ask him who his the best fighter he fought. He'll just tell you how great he is and not even bother to answer the question.....

honestly boxing has less woman like drama if ortiz just handles this dude....joshua and ortiz would get made pretty easily...

None of today’s heavyweights are inspiring.
But wilder has the potential to be better than he is.

I thought when wilder beat Stiverne, he's a decent fighter, then he fought nothing but bums and I thought what a loser. Just saw one of Emanuel Stewards last interviews, he said wilder has talent. Now I'm not so sure Ortiz will win. Steward was one of the best trainers ever, if not the best. But again nobody really knows how good or bad wilder is because he's never fought a really good heavyweight. We'll find out next week. Washington and Stevirne were decent but not good.

Wilder you're saying you dont get upset about these things but here your are complaining about Lewis not supporting you. An Ortiz victory is starting to seem slim the more he talks and rambles. Better not be in vain.
