Charlo is a worthy opponent but I don’t think GGG is ducking if he passes. It’s 2 fighters at different stages in their careers. We’ve seen this happen in the past. It’s the Mayweather Margarito situation all over again. GGG is looking for the biggest possible fights out there and Charlo is gonna have to wait his turn.
Do people really want to see GGG vs Charlo that bad

I voted Saunders so GGG can get all the belts. A Jacobs rematch would be my second choice. Jermall is good but he has yet to beat a really good middleweight. Jemall's next middleweight opponent has been KOed by the guy Jacobs fights next. Let Jemall fight Andrade or Jacobs and fight GGG if he wins.Comment

lol that's the new narrative?
Charlo has done jack at 160. Meanwhile Golovkin is gonna rematch Canelo and possibly a Jacobs rematch or BJS unification if he prevails. Charlo needs to target guys like Saunders or Jacobs to position himself to face GGG by next year.Comment

It's an intriguing fight that I'd like to see. Its quite obvious that some in here want to see Golovkin get beat, and if he wins theyll say Charlo didnt have one good win at middle and barely beat Trout. So its a no lose situation for them.Comment

Try to keep in mind that obsessed fans on a message board are not indicative of the general boxing audience.
Boxing nerds, and I include myself in that, would be fascinated by GGG and Charlo and many of us would love to see the fight ASAP.
But casual boxing fans don't know who Charlo is yet, nor have they had any time to develop a desire to see GGG vs. Charlo.
If there are people claiming GGG is ducking Charlo, that's ridiculous. You shouldn't be accused of ducking because you took a BIGGER fight. The public would be outraged if anything other than GGG vs. Canelo II was next. That fight has to happen.
Canelo vacating to avoid GGG and then fighting Smith, that's a duck. You're avoiding the fight everybody wants to see to take a fight nobody wants to see because you don't think you can win the fight everybody wants to see.
But GGG taking the rematch everyone wants to see is what's best for boxing.
If GGG wins and is then ordered to face Charlo, and he vacates to avoid losing to him, then you can call duck. But calling duck right now would be ludicrous.Comment

OK.. sorry, man, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around this triumvirate thing.. I'm taking it you're not the member of the trio who told me yesterday (or was it the day before?) that they didn't enjoy watching fights? This ish is confusing, man...Try to keep in mind that obsessed fans on a message board are not indicative of the general boxing audience.

Oh yeah. And good post BTW, although I'd be just as happy to see GGG attempt unification with Saunders as to fight Charlo.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 02-23-2018, 04:18 AM.Comment
