Comments Thread For: George Groves: James DeGale's Value Has Diminished Significantly

Back in 2011, George Groves shocked the odds when he handed James DeGale the first defeat of his pro career. At that time, DeGale was being groomed as a rising star who captured Olympic gold. After a years went by, DeGale captured the IBF middleweight crown and put in several performances that rose his status above Groves, who suffered a few defeats over the years.

It's nuts how quick things can change in boxing. Groves really showed that lions heart after the losses to Froch and Jack. DeGale needs to rematch Traux and then go from there he isn't worth s*** right now.

Damn, Groves punking everybody he has fought. Groves in theory should be calling out Traux as he would be the intended favorite...

Degale definitely needs that rematch and needs to win it well. Shouldn't be talking about Eubank or anybody till he's redeemed himself.

Groves should start eyeing the WBC belt in the possession of DAVID BENAVIDEZ.

Degale looks like his mental game has diminished,, I think he would crumble under the pressure of Eubank Jr. Make that fight happen it's a sink or swim match for both men

The reality is that DeGale hasn't had a complete performance since beating Marco Antonio Periban in 2014. Every single fight he's had since then has been really hard.

And that would spell "back to being knocked out" after his post-Froch / post-Jack renaissance.

Let's keep things real. Groves did beat DeGale (narrowly), but after having been stretched by Froch and outpointed by Jack, he won a title against a second tier like Chudinov and defended it against a hype job last Saturday.

DeGale will beat Truax in the rematch and then take a cash out, as the sharks will be circling for that belt

Degayle has always been over rated. The saint proved it last time. And what did degayle do then.....wins a version of the belt against a nobody and off goes the pie hole once again.
