Why do you think GGG gained a Mexican sponsorship?

Rising popularity, what he did in the fight doesn't correlate with this sponsorship especially because he didn't win.

Litterally all of Mexico nuts in their pants when they see Golovkin. They know Canelo is white.

Anybody who literally nuts in their pants at the sight of Golovkin has severe issues and clearly needs psychological help. That's not a Mexican boxing fan. That's the kind of person that a Mexican boxing fan mugs for their pesos.

GGG failed to impress in the first fight because he was expected to be too much for Canelo. He was expected to mow Canelo down like a knife through butter. It didn't happen.

On the other hand, Canelo DID impress by beating the odds, showing that he could handle GGG's punch, and flashing defensive skills that you didn't even realize he possessed.

When Canelo said "Mexican's don't F--- around", did you mistakenly think he meant that Mexican's are flat-footed punching bags?

I think you're overstating how people perceived the fight would go. Nobody knowledgeable thought ggg would mow down Canelo, especially after how jacobs performed vs ggg. And when Canelo said Mexicans don't F around, we thought he meant that ggg was his next fight. Instead it was 3 fights down the line.

First, I hate both g and Canelo. G's overrated and Canelo is a diva.

But I did buy me some Tecate a couple of times, because I've seen them sponsor boxing. Its alright. Its cheap. Paying G or Canelo or anyone isn't going to make me buy anything, but when they help put good boxing on, I'm all for it. Just as good as anything else for the price.

Depending on what side you are on.

Reality is its going to be an interesting fight to look forward to. A lot will depend on the psychological impact on both from the first fight, and tactically any changes could make a huge impact - one of them could make a big mistake - maybe GGG over-committing and getting tagged early, else Canelo trying to duke it out and also getting hit with that howitzer shot. Else could be the same fight, else Canelo shows more and gets a legit points win. We'll see in May.

yeah a jr middleweight who weighs mid to high 170s on fight night and fought in the super mw division vs a light heavyweight the fight before.
