Wasn't a bad fight, just strange decision. I can see why but damage is damage. Yea he didn't really follow thru on some good opportunities in the ring but Alexander won that fight.
Yeah, I was sorta hoping Rios would go the distance with Danny but him getting wrecked could potentially ruin those plans. Ortiz-Rios is a big seller.
I think the fact that Rios got KO'd will make the Ortiz/Rios fight easier to make .
It always seemed as if Ortiz was reluctant to take the fight . After what DSG did to Rios maybe Ortiz is more willing to make it happen .
Now that I understand a little bit better how HBO and Showtime record their numbers with Neilson. These articles of how many viewers tuned in to what fight are irrelevant.
these are HORRIBLE numbers. Laughing at folks who still don't get the difference between Network TV and Premium Cable. You can't compare them to HBO/Showtime these would be good ratings on either HBO or Showtime. But this aired on FOX and 1.13M viewers is terrible for FOX on a Sat night. FOX who isn't competing with HBO/SHO who are subscription based they are competing against other FREE Networks ABC, NBC, CBS.
You see that chart that's how this programmed measured up. You see all that red (which indicates below avg)
FOX finished DEAD last in the network primetime ratings. Matter fact PBC finished dead last for any individual prime time programming. Why is this bad? Because ABC and CBS refused to go up against the olympics and aired reruns. And still those reruns beat out PBC. FOX who the week prior ran reruns drew HIGHER ratings then PBC. Olympics drew 14.5M and ABC which aired basketball head to head against Olympics last week drew 2.7M. 1.1M is WORSE Network rating then any network that aired last week or the week before INCLUDING FOX who aired reruns last week.
