Enjoy it if you go man, it should be a good card
You can get reasonable prices on airbnb, have you heard of that?

I'm from the U.K, but moved here (to LA) in 2009. I used to travel to a lot of fights back then. Luckily, I had friends out in LA and the exchange rate was always around 1.6 or 2-1 so it was much cheaper (and Vegas was cheaper back then).

I was lucky to have seen Hatton-Tszyu, Calzaghe-Lacy and Kessler over there. Great experiences. Right now I go to basically all LA fights, about 3 Vegas fights a year and the odd fight in Puerto Rico, Mexico and a couple in NYC. I'll say this; Boxing fans from the UK and Mexican boxing fans are BY FAR the best. Most passion, respect and knowledge. I think for example Super Fly would sell well in England.

I met a guy at Maidana-Lopez at Stub Hub from the U.K and he was a huge Maidana fight and used to travel for his fights. That used to be me when it came to Marquez when he was this unheralded smaller Mexican fighter that'd I'd make a long ass journey for.

I used to go to a lot more years ago, I refuse to go to Eddie Hearn cards on a point of principle with the whole stubhub situation. I’ve only been to Groves-Eubank so far this year, I’m probably gonna go to a couple of Warren shows and the odd small hall show. I’ve not actually been to a stadium fight for a couple of years the last one I went to was Klitschko-Fury out in Düsseldorf I think. Also was at Froch-Groves 2 as well. Tbh though man arena fights generally generate a better atmosphere, for example Froch-Groves 1 was way more electric than Froch-Groves 2.

Yeah I think I’ve been on it before, I’ll make sure to check it out next time I go abroad. The pound has been tanking for a while now, which is annoying. I go out to Spain a lot and it’s like 1.1 to the Euro these days.
I was at Hatton-Tszyu as well, the MEN was ****ing rocking that night, I remember everyone was doing Mexican waves and everything during the undercard😂😂 and all you could hear was “there’s only one Ricky Hatton...”
I loved the Hatton fights, I don’t think there’ll ever be a fighter than can generate that kind of atmosphere in boxing for a long while.
Never been to fight in Mexico or PR what’s the atmosphere like there? I’d imagine it’s pretty crazy.

They are fight fans so it's great in that sense but the fights I went to the locals weren't so passionate about. I went to Puerto Rico once for Rafael Marquez-Wilfredo Vazquez JR but it got postponed but no biggie PR is amazing so better to not go to a fight and just enjoy the nightlife.

The best atmospheres I remember are certainly Hatton-Tszyu, from this side of the pond Marquez-Pacquaio had great crowds and Trinidad-Mayorga was unforgettable.

I love Spain. Seville is quite possibly my favorite city in the world. Madrid too I'm fond of. My folks used to live there in Marbella.

Yeah I love Spain myself, it’s such a nice break from the weather here in the UK. Not been Seville, I mainly just go Ibiza tbh, I went when I was 19 and got the bug hahaha, I’ve been most of the Balearic islands as well.
What Pac-Marquez did you go to? The 4th one? The atmosphere sounded amazing that night, I bet it went crazy when Marquez landed that big counter right hand.

                      I went to Marquez-Pacquaio 2, 3 & 4. Yeah the last one was surreal.
