Roy has a win over a young Bernard Hopkins and James Toney, two guys who would rival even the best names on Ray Leonard's resume. Roy had a better win streak, moved up more weight classes, and was probably the more explosive fighter of the two.

And if they were to fight head to head prime for prime Roy would have washed Leonard. I don't see how anyone can say Leonard was better. He might have more hall of famers on his resume but that is all I'll give him over Roy.
Who did Roy fight of note besides Hopkins and Toney?

Better win streak? You mean from fighting blown up LW Pazienza, old McCallum, and NY cop Richard Frazier?

This thread is about who was better, not who has a better record. Roy didn't lose in his prime aside from a DQ and Leonard did, arguably twice.

He beat one of the weakest HW titleholders ever in Ruiz.

Roy just does everything a little bit better than Leonard (speed, reflexes, athletic ability) and has immensely more power in each hand.

Hard to say with SRL losing in his prime but facing better opponents, and Roy looking almost God like in his prime

But u have to take this into account if u gonna hold SRL loss against him. It was against arguably the best lightweight of all time.
