Yeah, it's FAST, and it hits the temple area, but there's absolutely nothing on it whatsoever. I mean, I'd hate to suggest that Jones Jr.'s career was just a HBO confidence trick perpetuated with fall guys, and that if you look back at The Ring ratings in any division he's been in, he's rarely fought any of the top ten, but there you go...

This thread was actually inspired by seeing the shot from an alternate angle to the one presented above, where from behind Kelly it really does look like a light cuff around the ear.

I think it was enough to drop Kelly.....but whether it was enough to keep him down, or not, is up for debate.

But you've turned out to be surprsingly smart, so I'll give ya the benefit of the doubt.

The shot was right on the temple. It's not a good angle to even show the force of it, as the punch was on the opposite side of the camera. Additionally, Kelly never fully recovered from previous KDs nor did he ever adjust to the speed.

He was simply dazed and confused. Roy set that up and strolled away casually, seeming to know that Kelly was hurt and possibly done. All in favor of it being a good hard shot?
