Deontay Wilder vs Luis Ortiz Prediction

I haven't done this in a while. Here goes nothing.

They both have the power to knock each other out, but Ortiz is the better boxer, from a technical standpoint. Ortiz also has a 1 inch reach advantage over Wilder. I think Wilder will flash his jab, and be countered trying to set up his right hand. Again, Ortiz has the reach advantage, so he'll probably use his jab to keep Wilder at his comfortable distance. I also think that Ortiz will exploit Wilder's glaring flaws, which Teddy Atlas hilariously pointed out once. We've seen that Wilder's chin is a little sus, as he did get stopped as an amateur, and stunned by Eric Molina. However, Ortiz did get stunned by Malik Scott. Wilder is the younger fighter, so should the fight go into the later rounds, he should be the less fatigued of the two. Ortiz is supposedly 38 (he defected from Cuba, so who knows how old he actually is?), so he's probably gonna be looking to finish the fight within the first 6 rounds. If it goes beyond that, he'll most likely get knocked out in the late rounds. If Ortiz's age doesn't screw him over, and the fight goes to the cards, I think Ortiz's boxing skills get him a UD. 55-45 Ortiz.

Ortiz should just put in steady work and not get in a hurry. If you get in a hurry against Wilder, you could easily get put to sleep. However, Ortiz has a great chance here. Technically, he's definitely superior, but that doesn't always equal victory either. Wilder will be looking to land the bomb but Ortiz could use his skills and win. I think Ortiz should go to the body honestly and keep the distance close.

Wilder boxes like a tall lanky athletic newbie. He never learned how to box. He gets away with it against the type of opposition he has faced...but that will never happen with Ortiz. Ortiz will make him pay big time. If Ortiz comes in healthy with good energy Wilder is going to look like a novice against a pro.

I agree with much of what you say except unfortunately I predict a robbery if it goes the distance even if Wilder gets schooled...but I hope I'm wrong about that.

Ortiz is probably going to do alot of feinting while pressuring wilder on the ropes. He will probably try to tee off on him once wilder is on the ropes

Ortiz is the best fighter by far that Wilder has ever fought and Ortiz can punch hard with both hands and has the skills to land his punches. Wilder is by far the best fighter Ortiz has ever fought. He is fast and has a long strong left jab and a deadly straight right when he throws it correctly. Either man could score a KO in any round. Ortiz has the better defense and seems to have the better chin. Wilder has more speed and throws more punches. I think it's a close fight that could go either way. I favor Wilder because of his edge in speed, work rate and stamina.

I'm 50/50 about it. I think it will all boil down to how well Ortiz handles Wilder's power.

I literally have no idea, there are too many questions about ortiz, he only has one decent win over Jennings years ago, and he might of been on PEDS for it so, how can you gauge how good he really is, when he looked like crap against journeyman dave allen and malik ' please let me quit' scott.
