    Former WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee (35-3-1, 24 KOs) appeared on the Off The Ball program and announced his retirement from the sport. Lee, 33 years old, has been out of the ring since last March.

      Probably for the better. He was being touted as the next big thing but never really panned out. It seemed like his chin was too unreliable

        Ah man, that sucks, still some fun fights I would have liked to see him in, was involved in a lot of exciting fights. Good luck in retirement

          All that remains is that knockout of John Jackson, which is one for the ages. For the rest, a rather irrelevant fighter, as nice guy as he is.

              Used to be a big Andy Lee fan,Not much of a surprise seeing how he hasn't been fighting much past couple years. Either way good luck to him in retirement

                  I like Andy Lee but this is for the better. Being gun shy at 30 doesnt make for a good twilight run in anyones career. Happy fishing

                    It's a shame but MW fairly tied up so it's not surprising he struggled to get a big fight to get his excitement up. Shame. I do think Andy would have a crack at anyone.
