Certain nations have always been known for producing boxing talent: Mexico, Great Britain, the Philippines, Japan and, of course, the United States. And now Russia stands on the brink of joining this elite company. The latest Russian import from Irkutsk in eastern Siberia, light heavyweight Igor Mikhalkin (21-1, 9 KOs), faces the greatest challenge of his career as he makes his United States debut. Two-Time Light Heavyweight World Champion Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev (31-2-1, 27 KOs) will test Mikhalkin's mettle in the 12-round main event at The Theater at Madison Square Garden Saturday, March 3 televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing(r) beginning at 10:05 p.m. ET/PT.

The Russkies and the Eastern Euro fighters are pros. Trash talking is getting old. Guys like Wilder and Eubank stink up the sport.

It's inevitable though some mush brained foul mouthed casual is going to say something ****ty about Russians, Kovalev or some other garbage. Typically it's a Ward fanboy.

It's inevitable for a fighter with 9 KOs in 22 fights to face a krusher with 27 KOs in 34 fights? Damned right it is!

Muhammad Ali was the most notorious trash talker of all time. Trash talking is part of the sport. As a boxing fan I still enjoy it, it builds the fight, it sells tickets and makes money. I actually quite enjoy what Wilder does, some fighters can come across classless and fake but I wouldn’t say Wilder or even Eubank majorly cross the line.

"All you need to know about me is I'm a good person."

You know, I tried that line on a woman once. Did not work...

Just kidding, but it probably wouldn't! Haha.

Well, reading this article, he seems really very polite and nice...probably too nice for Krusher. I'm kind of worried about his health after the fight. I'm afraid he's really gonna get hurt badly...
