I don't think Ortiz has the foot speed to outbox anyone anymore. If Deontay stands in front of him then he might find himself in trouble, but Ortiz has the movement of a tree these days and Wilder isn't a ****** fighter. Wilder will use his feet and stay out of range until an opportunity for his right hand presents itself.

Wilder often gets stoppages by leaping in from a distance, using good athleticism to cover ground at a rate which surprises his opponents and often coupling this with his lead hand pulling down his opponent's guard to make room for the big right to land. I think his team knows that against a boxer with excellent timing, that's a dangerous strategy, as he could end up walking onto something heavy and doubling its impact. I don't see him attempting this till at least round 5/6 depending on how tired Ortiz gets.

jab, jab, boom...is how I see this fight going. Unless Ortiz sets something up and walks Wilder into it I don't see Ortiz doing much. His opponent has better reach, better feet, better speed, and a I believe better power. From the moment this fight was announced I called it Stiverne 2.0 for a reason.

I watched Wilder-Dahaupas last night.
That Dahaupas took a beating, but Wilder's right eye was swollen afterwards. Wilder elected to get in and throw uppercut/ hook combinations, while they scored they didn't have mind bending power a guy like Foreman's would've had. Only saying that because Wilder talked some trash about Big George. Also, he could not finish Dahaupas, who he had hurt a few times. Dahaupas has a good beard. Basically, I like Wilder, but he's not all there. His reaction to Dahaupas getting a rise outta the crowd at the end was interesting. Does he kiss everyone on the forehead after he butchers them? I haven't seen all of his fights, been out the game for a few years.

Ortiz can beat Wilder with a counter right hand to the body when Wilder fights off the ropes with his cross or jab/cross. He has boxed many more rounds than Wilder in his lifetime, Ortiz has a ridiculous amateur record. I chose Wilder on the poll, but I'm going with Ortiz.

If Spilka was so successfull with Wilder, why wouldn't king kong be able to?
