I thought Teiken was Linares' lead promoter and Golden Boy works with them in the US. Everybody but Golden Boy wants this fight on the 12th. Didn't Teiken already ok it?

Now that GBP realize that Loma-Beltran is going to counterprogram them on May 12th whether they like it or not, hopefully they will do right by their fighter, Linares, and put him in there instead. Right now, everything is set in stone whether GBP or HBO like it or not, it seems. The only thing they can control is whether Linares is going to get the payday, or Beltran. Hopefully, they will do right by their fighter.

I knew back in December that GGG/Canelo were fighting on May 5th 2018. And like ALWAYS!!! They do the replay the following week.

Put Linares on that card instead.

You're right. HBO has been doing PPV replays the following Saturday for quite some time now. Arum should have know better. Either way, ESPN and HBO will end up cannibalizing each others rating because Loma fights on May 12th. Or maybe they just televise the fights at different times?

Your 100% correct in my opinion. Bob never intended for the Linares fight. It was Beltran all the way. Keeping the fight in-house.

Bob Arum does this all the time. He did it earlier with Pac/The Machine. He get us boxing fans excited with GREAT fights like Matty/Pac and Linares/Loma and then Kansas City Shuffles us.

Now we got Beltran/Loma and Combined age of 76. Pac/Alvarado.
