I remember punching someone in the head, completely wrong (from all the "52"slap boxing we did in the Bronx) and I remember the sound of my hand breaking more than the pain! Well said, as always the coward keyboard warriors come out in force on these forums, but Brook is tough as nails and should be respected. It's so easy to criticise in anonymity behind a keyboard. I hope Brook comes back strong and gets another world title shot in 2018!

People defending this clown are PATHETIC. Last Saturday I met a young fighter called Jamie Humble who had a bleed on his brain in his last fight. That fight was for a Northern Area title and I doubt he was even earning 4 figures for it, he wasn’t fighting for a world title, getting paid millions, or fighting in front of thousands of paying fans like Brook was.
He felt unbearable pain late in that fight, did he quit? No. He kept fighting cause that’s what FIGHTERS do.
Not once did I detect any of this self pity you hear constantly from Brook not once did he play the victim like Brook does saying “I’ve got to earn a living” and all this other BS. ALL FIGHTERS must earn a living, and most haven’t been fortunate enough to earn a quarter as much as this clown Brook has.
This is a brutal, unforgiving sport, all these idiots saying: “Brook fought valiantly” or “Brook is a warrior” are pathetic, you can’t expect sympathy when you TAKE A KNEE AND QUIT cause of a swollen eye. When fighters have lost their careers and even lives in that very same ring because they had the heart, courage and desire to keep on fighting unlike lesser men, like Brook, who take a knee and QUIT.
