Comments Thread For: Chris Eubank Jr. Would Consider Returning To Middleweight

Chris Eubank Jr. (26-2, 20 KOs) has no issue with heading back to the middleweight limit of 160 - for the right fight. Last year, Eubank made a full move to super middleweight and captured the IBO title. He then entered the World Boxing Super Series super middleweight tournament.

This dude still hasn't been humbled. He's claiming he did enough to 'nick it', lol. It seems like he will stick with his current team, when he should really get a new trainer.

Honestly.. he just had a bad night.. against groves.. I think 160 is a Good move.. more experience for him before moving back to168.. he will be a nightmare at 160... and that division is loaded. Plus he needs that saunders rematch. Aint no way billy believes he can do what george did to chris.. billy don't weigh enough.

The fact that Roy Jones Jr retired recently means that he is in people eyes. Someone in the UK posted on a Jousha picture, who could beat this monster and compared Eubank Jr to Jones Jr. Working up the weight class and finally fighting at heavy weight. Hype was unreal for this guy.

I was shocked that Eubank jr. At times looked out of place and him being a fighter got him throw to the end. People break Groves down but Eubank was throwing wild shot and Groves was seeing every one of them.

PS Guess Groves was right in the fact that when Eubank lost he would say he is not a true SMW and move down.

Charlo, Saunders, Jacob, GGG and Canelo are at Middle weight. Do you think he can beat any of those?

Jr should consider returning to 2012 when it was believable he had a chance to be something decent

That was some of the worst boxing I've seen in a while. We make fun of clumsy 7 ft tall heavyweights like valuev and wilder or throwing looping punches but I've never seen them through **** that missed as wide as the punches eubank was throwing 10 in a row of... It looked like when kids pull their arms out of their sleeves and whip them around trying to slap each other with the empty sleeves.

We also talk about fighters with lots of natural talent who haven't found the right trainer yet...

This is the opposite... A guy with zero natural talent but given world class training & huge fights. It just looks "fake".

GGG and Canelo stop Eubank inside 6 rounds.

BJS plays with him and has him hitting fresh air for 12.

Eubank needs to accept reality, he is not (and never was) World Title material.

Matches up about the best with GGG who would probably just fight him.

Matches up the best in that it would be high contact and physical. But the net result would be an unfathomable beat down.

I genuinely don't think Eubank Jr would actually landed anything clean against Canelo or a physically fitter BJS.

If I was advising Eubank Jr. I would go for Degale and Truax. That is his opportunity to win a title.

He'd beat Degale imo. Degale has been through the mill and looks like he should hang them up. Ever since that Porky Medina fight, really.

I'd try and fight Eubank Jr is I was Truax too. Somehow Eubank Jr is a PPV fighter. He'd get more cash for fighting him than Degale and he could definitely win the fight too.
