In most eyes Braehmer (including most fans and all 3 judges) was having his way with Cleverly man. Clev took the first 2 by being busy but Braehmer had him figured after that. Braehmer is physically unspectacular but he's a high IQ boxer, he turns guys, messes with their range, smothers them, all the while sneaking in hurtful leather... it's a style with a lot of longevity.

Now I'm not saying Juergen is some world-beater. Against the top level LHWs he would lose, but not without giving a decent account of himself. Against todays crop of SMWs - especially one with as little top flight experience as Mundo who's got used to being able to impose his physicality, Juergen could be a stylistic nightmare.

I do remember braehmer starting to come on as the fight kept going on, not denying that. And I'm shot saying he's a slouch, I think he's very skilled and a smart fighter but the fact he is 39 years old just doesn't sit well with me. I know Callum hasn't fought anyone special but I think he's would pose problems to any smw, he's absolutely massive, hits hard, has a good has tank, and seems to have a solid chin and he's very young. If that fight happened and braehmer won i really wouldnt be surprised. In my eyes it was a 60-40 fight, sucks its not gonna happen

It does suck, man. It woulda been a good fight I think, and it would have been a great learning experience for Mundo win or lose. I had it about 50/50 but that was allowing for it being in Germany, 60/40 is about right had it been elsewhere, but had Braehmer been 5 years younger I would have picked him for the UD without much hesitation. I don't know what Callum's ceiling is - he may well prove to be the best of the Smith brothers, but right now he's still pretty raw at this sort of level, and that matters against a guy like Braehmer.

Well said, couldn't agree more. Think groves will be a very good test for him, just hope they can push back the date so groves will be healthy.
