  • Eubank Jr - What Now?

    He's young
    He's fast
    and he's hungry

But has failed trying to reach the top of the British pile twice now

Almost embarrassing himself on both occasions

    Both losses were excuse filled

So after the whole GGG/Pen escapade and then all the trash talk during this build up I. E saying he is willing to die in the ring after what happened with Blackwell
and all the silly posts on social media
refusing to work with a trainer
I want to know how his fans feel

Can Eubank come back and win a real title?
    have you abandoned him??
    Will he ever learn???

    Thoughts and discuss......

In the post-fight presser he said he was interested in the other champions at 168, and name-dropped Caleb Traux. I think he can beat him.

He also said there are fights at 160 for him too as he isn't a natural SMW, which is good. I can't see him beating the top 4 at MW currently (Canelo, GGG, DJ, BJS) unless he gets a serious, proper trainer in his camp. He needs to re-evaluate his career and where he needs to go to make use of what time he has left in his prime.

DeGale, Truax and Zeuge would be good matches for him now, and in general there are a lot of decent British fighters at 168 who would all fancy a Eubank payday

I think Ive accepted that he never really be an top fighter, hes at a point now where hes kinda set in his ways as a fighter. He can improve but improve enough to be a dominant world champion? No.
Id still rate him above the likes of a David Lemiuex at MW but he just has no outside game in his arsenal, which counts for 50% of boxing if not more.

Its funny, you follow fighters for years, see how they train, watch the build ups, talk about them in forums and genuinely wish the best for them. Sometimes they reach the pinnacle of the sport or win titles and sometimes they crash and burn and all the hype and talk blows up in their faces.
I wont lie, I was gutted for Eubank Jr. Have been following him since the beginning of his career.

He is what he is. Can make for some decent fights still. Is never gonna be the top dog at any division but plenty of match ups he can get involved in and will still make money as the pantomime villain.
