He's one of the best of all time. When he needs to seem like a decent fellow, he's great at it.

All the stories you hear from Floyd, Mikey, DLH, etc. They all make Bob out to be a monster.

Also, the way Bob comes across in his handling with Manny...always seems like a slave owner.

Yep, Arum is a slave owner and a piece of chit who is on record as saying some nasty things. He has made numerous racist comments in his career but always gets a pass because he is a media darling and because he is

Bob's job was to pay them as little as possible. Their job was to try to get paid as much as possible. They wanted to leave to try to make more money. Bob's job was to make it as difficult as possible to leave. Doesn't make Bob a monster. Makes him a businessman.

Don't think slave owner is a good description for somebody that pays someone else HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

Well, he's lying a lot. But he's very charming and great at manipulating people. One of the best ever. Bob is a very likable guy when he wants to be. There's a reason he's always had the media wrapped around his finger. He's able to charm their pants off whenever he wants.
