Only people who hyped him were the noobs of this sport.

I knew he wasnt going anywhere when he faced Saunders.

You can spot out natural fighters when you see one and Eubanks isnt one of them. Boxing isnt second nature to this guy look how forced his punches are.

I like him doing what he's doing for boxing as far as entertainment value goes but yeah he is no where close to elite. My main thing is he just doesn't have power whatsoever. Even with the way he fights, throwing his entire body and back into punches, yet still it doesn't show results.
I could go on forever explaining why he sucks. The short version is he's been built up by bums. I thought moving up to 168 was idiotic considering he's not a heavy hitter by any means. But h*ll after his ducking and bs at 160, seeing him move up was a positive move for boxing.

        Overhyped not overrated..

Fans and media never really rated him that high until he actually proved it

But the hype was completely overblown

He got humbled a bit, but no one can deny the natural talent he has. Plus he showed a lot of heart in the last round. Yes, he was beaten. But I see more upside with him than I see with Groves.

The Brits are always overrated. Groves isn't that good either. GGG, Canelo, Jacobs would all smoke Saunders too.

You are trying to make eubank out to be something just to reinforce your argument, facts are eubank openly ducked jacobs. Eubanks has fought 2 good opponents and lost. He isn't world level. I would put money on kell brook every single day if they ever fought at 160, as would I Jacobs .

Eubank has gotten significantly better, he's been demolishing everyone in his way. Nobody took BJS seriously until he shut Lemieux out and that's a fact.

Eubank chose an easy pay day over Jacobs, that's all it was and he's gotten much better since that time.

Who the **** has Brook beaten at 160, he has a close fight with Porter and a stoppage loss to Spence. DJ himself has repeatedly shown how terrible his defense is and how sloppy his offense is. You need maintenance of distance to compete with GSG. Murray is the only one with that style to give GSG some sort of trouble.

Tragedy and loss shape strength and power. Most Jr's come from established fathers, that unknowingly mitigate much of that loss with love. Boy is soft like bread.

Yeah i always said he was overrated, looked like dog**** against saunders who may have shut him out if he had better cardio at that point. And then got a whole lot of hype for beating shot arthur abraham, quinlan and yildirim who were two scrubs. And everyone on about casual fans hyping him, there was plenty on this site who were doing the very same thing. He was a pretty clear favourite on the pick em too...
